Advert - Pfizer – Case AUTH/3888/4/24

For promoting an unlicensed vaccine, including to members of the public on Twitter (now X) in 2020, Pfizer was ruled in breach of the following clauses of the 2019 Code:

Clause 2 - Bringing discredit upon, and reducing confidence in, the pharmaceutical industry
Clause 3.1 - Promoting a medicine prior to the grant of its marketing authorisation
Clause 7.2 - Making a misleading claim
Clause 9.1 - Failing to maintain high standards

and the following clause of the 2021 Code:

Clause 3.3 - Failing to comply with an undertaking
