Press Release 11 December 2020

The PMCPA is delighted to announce that Kate Brunner QC has been appointed Chair of the Code of Practice Appeal Board.  The PMCPA welcomes Ms Brunner to her new role which starts on 1 January 2021.  Kate succeeds Mr William Harbage QC who chaired the Appeal Board for 15 years.  Since taking silk in 2015 Ms Brunner has continued with a wide-ranging legal practice including criminal, regulatory and healthcare law.   Ms Brunner has been a Recorder in crime since 2012 and also works as a part time  judge in the Upper Tribunal (Administrative Appeals Chamber).  She founded the Western Circuit Women's Forum to press for greater diversity at the Bar.  She is Leader of the Western Circuit, representing barristers in the South West.

The PMCPA is very grateful to Mr Harbage for his leadership and contribution over many years to ensure the independent administration of self-regulation of the pharmaceutical industry.  We wish him every success in the future.
